Count Down for Climbing Half Dome: My Preparation

6 more sleeps until I begin my climb of Half Dome, Yosemite...said to be one of the best hikes in the world! Since this will be my first and probably only time, I am so excited but also a bit nervous. Everyone has been very supportive and I thank you all. In preparation, I have done an Isagenix Nutritional Cleanse which finishes in 3 days. I will start drinking the Ionix Supreme to help oxygenate my body and continue drinking it before and during my hike...as well as continue drinking lots of water. During the hike, I will have one bottle of water mixed with Want More Energy to keep my electrolytes up plus extra along the way. I will also carry with me several gluten free energy bars, homemade trail mix, and Isadelight Chocolates. I have continued my regular exercise routine and added some 4-6 mile hikes. I have all the proper gear including hiking poles to save my "bad" knee (no ACL). I am going to try using KT Tape on my knee this week to see if I feel any additional support during exercise and may include this as a prophylactic measure.
